One Week of Free Data, AI, and Cloud Training

Attend 5 different instructor-led training sessions on a wide range of topics: from Data & AI to Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform. Powered by GoDataDriven and Binx.io.

Each training taster runs from 9 am CET to 11 am CET. In two hours, our experienced trainers get you up to speed with Python, analytics translation, architecting on AWS, and developing serverless applications with Google Cloud Run.

Python for Data Analysts

Do you want to boost your career by learning THE programming language for Data & AI? Lucy Sheppard – Trainer

Lucy trained as a teacher before spending four years working for a UK bank building models to generate customer risk profiles. She now feels extremely lucky that she can combine her skills in data and her passion for teaching to share knowledge and support the next iteration of data scientists.

Tuesday, January 19, from 9 am CET to 11 am CET

Architecting on AWS

This course covers the fundamentals of building IT infrastructure on the AWS platform. Students learn how to optimize the AWS Cloud by understanding how AWS services fit into cloud-based solutions. In addition, students explore AWS Cloud best practices and design patterns for architecting optimal IT solutions on AWS, and build a variety of infrastructures in guided, hands-on activities. The course also covers how to create fledgling architectures and build them into robust and adaptive solutions.

What You’ll Learn

During this training, Martijn van de Grift will hand-pick one or two of the following topics:

  • Make architectural decisions based on AWS architectural principles and best practices
  • Leverage AWS services to make your infrastructure scalable, reliable, and highly available
  • Leverage AWS Managed Services to enable greater flexibility and resiliency in an infrastructure
  • Make an AWS-based infrastructure more efficient to increase performance and reduce costs
  • Use the Well-Architected Framework to improve architectures with AWS solutions

Martijn van de Grift – Trainer

Martijn is a cloud consultant at Binx.io, where he specializes in creating solutions using GCP and AWS. Not only is Martijn a guest lecturer at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, but he is also an Authorized Instructor for both Amazon Web Services as Google Cloud Platform.

Data Science with Python Foundation

Marysia Winkels – Trainer

Marysia is a data science trainer at GoDataDriven. She completed her Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Amsterdam, where she specialized in machine learning. Her research was focused on data-efficient deep learning. Applying this research on medical images at a company kickstarted her career at the crossroads of academia and industry.

Building Serverless Applications With Google Cloud Run

Cloud Run is a container-based platform on Google Cloud. In this condensed session, Wietse Venema—O’Reilly author and senior cloud engineer at Binx— shares what you need to know about this increasingly popular product. You don’t need to have experience with Google Cloud to understand the session.

What You’ll Learn

In this training session, you learn to:
  • Understand container images and containers
  • Understand how Cloud Run is different from an always-on server
  • Deploy a container image to Cloud Run
  • Understand auto-scaling, on-demand containers

Wietse Venema – Trainer

Wietse is a software engineer and trainer for Binx.io, and the author of the O’Reilly book about Cloud Run.
